Earlier this month, Team Acid Rain from NUI Maynooth won second prize and $10,000 (€6,382) in the Embedded Development category of Imagine Cup in Paris. This is a really great story of 3 students who developed a kit to convert any diesel car to run on any type of vegetable oil. They then hopped into a converted car and drove to Paris to prove their point! Minus one or two minor hiccups (car suspension issue I believe) all arrived safely, and picked up the no 2 spot in the competition, placing in the top 3 of over 3,000 original entries. The talet that these students posess is fantastic - would't it be great to bottle......
